Analytical Solution of Saltwater Intrusion in Costal Aquifers Considering Climate Changes and Different Boundary Conditions

Groundwater contamination due to saltwater intrusion (SWI) has an extreme effect on freshwater quality. Analytical and numerical models could be used investigate SWI. This study aims develop analytical solution SWI into coastal aquifers which was applied a real case at the Middle Nile Delta aquifer (MNDA). The presented new formula predict difference in depth of seawater interface change boundary conditions. A Computer Program for Simulation Three-Dimensional Variable-Density Ground-Water Flow Transport (SEAWAT) is groundwater flow simulation results compared with developed solution. Four scenarios are considered study, including; sea-level rise (SLR), reduction recharge, over abstraction, combination after 50 years (2070). gave good one where Equiline 1 intruded 103 101.66 km respectively base case. also agreement between SLR climate changes by 52.80 cm reached 105 103.45 km. However, recharge 18.50% resulted Equiline-1 111 108.25 from shoreline. Over pumping increase population 89% increased reach 121,110.31 km, while it 131 111.32 three scenarios, represents highest threatening scenario. Also, two solutions 1.30%, 1.48%, 2.48%, 8.84%, 15.02%, four scenarios. For current model one, so that recommended similar studies, save time capabilities computer required solutions.
